Private Homes

If you are traveling with a large group, we recommend renting a private home in Montauk through Home Away, Airbnb, or VRBO. Though a bit further away, you can also look for homes in Amagansett or East Hampton.

How to Get There

From Connecticut

While you can drive from Connecticut to Montauk, there are also ferries available from Bridgeport, Connecticut and New London, Connecticut. For those coming from Fairfield County, The Bridgeport & Port Jefferson Steamboat company offers service between Bridgeport, Connecticut and Port Jefferson, New York. For those coming from the Northern part of the state, The Cross Sound Ferry offers service between New London, Connecticut and Orient Point, New York. Please plan all reservations in advance for both ferry services, particularly if you will be bringing your car.

From New York

Montauk is easily accessible from New York City via car, train, or bus. If you plan to take the train, Long Island Railroad service is available between Penn Station and Montauk. If you plan to take the bus, The Hampton Jitney offers service between New York City and Montauk at various locations.
